Portis I feel and see strong visuals when listening to Falling Into The Sea. They are relative to the title. I see grainy black and white video. I see repetition. I see the sweeping ocean water. To me, a chord within me is struck as there is extreme melancholy and depth to these tracks, especially "..Sea". Favorite track: falling into the sea.

Dotflac Faithful to his guitar drones processed through decaying tape loops, Tomonari Nozaki keeps impressing us with highly emotional compositions.

Be it the first act aiming at the depths of the ocean or the second act looking towards the stars, we will continuously bathe into a bliss tinged with melancholy, leading to some sort of cathartic redemption.

Are we falling into the skies ? Are we floating towards the deep waters ? The answers are irrelevant in this world without landmarks.

Remarkable. Favorite track: falling into the sea.

about

curently residing in tokyo, japan, tomonari nozaki creates abstract yet melodic and melancholic soundscapes using destruction techniques discovered with reel-to-reel tape-loop splicings and other analogue experimentations.
at first these two tracks had different titles but after listening to them again, tomonari wanted to have the titles to remind of the story of icarus. in his mind the first track is the image of icarus flying towards the sky and falling into the sea while the second track is icarus falling from the sky then flying towards the sky after his death. this is not the original icarus myth though, just images tomonari had!
